RTÉ's Operation Transformation presenter Kathryn Thomas feared she may have had the coronavirus and "really wasn't well".
She admitted that herself and her two-year-old daughter, Ellie, fell ill with flu-like symptoms for ten days but didn't get tested for the virus.
In her interview on Ireland AM Thomas admitted that by the time they were due to get tested neither herself or her daughter were presenting any more symptoms.
She said: "I got very sick at the beginning of March. We had been away for a few days after we wrapped filming on Operation Transformation.
"I just got very flu-ey, so did she and I put in to get tested but by the time I got the call all my symptoms were gone.
"I still don't know if I had it but certainly, I really wasn't well for ten days.
"So we just did the advice we were given, stayed in and stayed self isolating, quarantined to the house.
"At that time I wasn't sure or not, it wasn't nice. So we've been pretty much keeping ourselves to ourselves since then."
Thomas also spoke about about how having miscarriages was the hardest thing she's ever gone through.
She said: "That was a time when I really struggled and I really questioned what I thought I knew about myself, all of the strength and the positivity and the go getting.
"There was a time when that all seeped out of me. It was hard, it was really hard.
"That was without a doubt the hardest thing I had ever gone through and it was a long four years."
