The Blizzards have re-released their hit song “Trust Me I’m A Doctor” to raise funds for a vital frontline worker service.
Frontman Bressie and the band have recorded version of one of their biggest hits with the RTE Orchestra for Heroes Aid.
Trust Me I’m A Doctor was top of the download charts and top 10 single for four weeks, and now it’s back and sounding as beautiful as ever.
The hope is that all radio stations will playlist this new orchestral version of the song as all proceeds will be going to the service.
The charity began during the pandemic when they sourced and delivered much needed PPE to healthcare staff who were working throughout the early days of Covid-19.
The non-profit organisation have since expanded their services to provide educational and wellbeing support to all frontline staff.
Some of the services Heroes Aid include a 24 hour freephone helpline, counselling, and online wellbeing support tools.
Taking to Instagram on this morning, The Blizzards wrote: “With the help of Irish radio and our nation – let’s give back to for frontline workers who risked their lives to save ours.
“We recorded #trustmeimadoctor with the stunning @rteconcertorchestra so we could raise money for @heroes_aid_ireland a charity that is supporting frontline workers in the midst and aftermath of the pandemic.
“By raising money through this brilliant charity the hope is to be able to provide therapy resources for any worker who needs it Donate €4 by texting HERO to 50300.”
