Viewers are eagerly anticipating a Halloween surprise on this year's RTE News after a 'masterpiece' in 2019.
This time last year the RTE graphics team surprised viewers with a spooktacular finish to the Six One News on Halloween night.
And now viewers are anticipating something similar this time around - although whether it happens at all remains to be seen.
One Reddit user shared the video from 2019 and said: "The countdown is on for the RTÉ News graphics team to beat last years Halloween masterpiece."
And plenty more people shared their excitement hoping to see something similar in the coming days.
One added: "I love stuff like this, so chessy but so wholesome. Loved when Martin King would wish people a happy birthday, you just knew kids and adults alike felt happy being addressed nationally."
Another said: "I remember seeing this live. Got a real burst of surprised laughter out of me, 'twas great!"
Over 5,000 people reacted to the post with plenty of eyes expected to be on the news over the coming days watching for something similar.
