The long-awaited Late Late Toy Show is here once again, with Ryan Tubridy taking to the airwaves for the most festive night of the season.
In the run up to tonight’s event, Tubridy told RTE Radio One listeners that it would be "very special.
And so far it has not disappointed, with viewers flocking to Twitter to praise the host for his part in the ‘Hakuna Matata,’ opening number.
One viewer wrote: "Hakuna Matata, No Worries! Awww, love The Lion Lion face King and tonight’s suit. Ryan, you are just fantastic!”
Another wrote; “Have to hand it to Tubridy. He's not afraid of getting stuck in when it comes to the toyshow...epic opening”
A third said: “What a crackin start to the #LateLateToyShow ..fingers crossed that the rest of the show is as good as this #HakunaMatata #TheLionKing.”
The guessing games have also begun online as to who the special guest will be tonight - and it seems an Irish sports star is the favourite.
One viewer said: “I hope Kelly Harrington shows up to the #LateLateToyShow she's all about the hakuna matata.”
Another wrote: “I’d put any money on that Kelly Harrington will make an appearance tonight. She did bring hakuna matata back to life during the summer after all!”
