RTE Late Late Toy Show star Adam King raises 266k for Dublin and Cork hospitals

Late Late Toy Show star Adam King has raised huge funds for Dublin and Cork hospitals through his "Virtual Hug Cards" initiative.

The six year old stole the nations hearts last November and has used his popularity to fundraise for charity.

Adam was born with osteogenesis imperfecta (type III), a rare condition that causes stunted growth and brittle bones.

He has attended Children’s Health Ireland at Temple Street in Dublin and Cork University Hospital (CUH) since he was a baby.

Adam raised over 266k through the sales of his virtual hug card, which were printed in the lead up to Valentine’s Day and sold at Centra and Supervalu stores nationwide.

Adam presented the donation to the two hospitals on Friday.
