RTE Late Late Toy Show sensation releases official video for debut single 'All that I do' inspired by late dad

Late Late Toy Show star Michael Moloney has released the official video for his debut single shot and recorded in Windmill Lane Recording Studios in Dublin.

The song, inspired by his late dad, was shot and recorded in Windmill Lane Recording Studios in Dublin by Kodaline's Jason Boland.

The music video captures Moloney's experience at the famous studios - a gift given to him during the Late Late Toy Show in November - and shows behind the scenes footage of his work alongside Grammy nominated producer Gavin Murphy.

The track was written for the Mayo teenager's dad and draws on the emotions he felt following his passing.

Michael said: "It was like a lightbulb moment, why don't I write a song about my dad?

"This song was different from my other songs, I was writing about a real life event that happened, and the lyrics embodied how I felt about my dad passing away.

"I wanted other people to be able to relate to this song, with Covid and the year we've had, a lot of people are suffering loss.

"I wanted to let them know it will get better, at the start you think it will never change and that you will always be this sad but it does get better,

"I wanted people to know that."

Moloney usually writes his songs for the guitar but for this song he chose to write it to the piano.

"I sat down at the piano for a while and came up with this chord progression, the melody and lyrics soon followed," He said.

He added: "It was never a conscious decision to be a musician it just sort of evolved, but who knows what the future might bring. I'm open to everything."
