RTE Late Late show viewers stunned by 'brave' cancer survivors, Georgie Crawford, Shannen Joyce and Mary Cullen

Irish viewers were stunned by a panel of "brave" cancer survivors who appeared on Friday night's Late Late show.

The panel consisted of three survivors, Georgie Crawford, Shannen Joyce and Mary Cullen as well as two of their children.

Mary said on Friday nights show  that the women, who have spoken out about their cancer journey wanted to create awareness by appearing on the show.

Urging viewers that "if you feel like anythings a miss just keep checking."

The world class athlete, In September 2018, on holidays in Portugal, noticed her hearing was muffled, “like a fullness in one ear."

Later, medics in Sligo Hospital found a lump in her nose and hoped it was adenoid-related but it wasn’t, it was a rare form of head and neck cancer, RSVP Live reports.

Meanwhile another cancer beating mum, Shannen Joyce first beat cancer at age 19, only for the mum of one to suffer again at 25.

“My oncologist spoke about it returning and he said, ‘This is the type of cancer that will normally come back after two years.’

“My cancer returned almost exactly five years to the day of my initial diagnosis. Again, I felt a lump in my left groin" she told.

And the final survivor on last nights show, Georgie Crawford found a lump in her breast one night when putting her daughter to bed with her husband.

Host of the show, Ryan Tubridy said, "I'm so grateful to you, I really am, for coming on and telling us your stories."

But was interrupted by Mary's baby, Ellis, who decided to lighten the mood by releasing wind.

Where the host joked that "he really let one go there" and that "thats a nappy change."

Ryan then went back to saying how he "would love to keep an eye on your story maybe come and see us again in a little while" urging the women to "be happy be safe, mind each other and mind yourselves."

The presenter adding "can't wish you enough good fortune" before going back to joke about the baby's "whopper" wind.

And fans of the show were in awe of the incredible ladies, with one user saying "Such inspiration and love and positivity from these three ladies."

Meanwhile another added, "Very strong and brave young ladies.... continued good health you amazing people for the future."

And a third commented, " Warrior women."
