RTE Late Late Show viewers have their say as Brooke Scullion performs Ireland's Eurovision entry after previous criticism

Brooke Scullion appeared on Friday night's Late Late Show as she performed the country's Eurovision entry for this year's competition.

The Derry singer appeared on the sofa with Ryan Tubridy before performing her song 'That's Rich' which she will sing in front of millions in Turin next month.

The songstress previously had some criticism over the performance of the song and admitted she had taken it all on board.

She told the show: "I had to revamp it. I had to revamp it, I had to listen to everyone else.

"I didn't know if I was going to get through so I had to listen to the people and see what was actually needed to give it that boost to bring it to Eurovision."

Asked about feeling the pressure, the Derry girl said: "I know Ireland has a massive history with the Eurovision and for me, my main goal at this rate is qualifying.

"To even get us back in the way of competing again would be my goal."

And as ever with Eurovision entries, viewers were divided as to whether they think it will get Ireland fear amid fear of more poor points performances.

Gerry Hewitt tweeted: "Brooke Scullion giving a more polished performance tonight When first heard it I said not a chance but tonight I have definitely changed my opinion Brooke has a great personality and the look for Eurovision success."

Philip Nolan disagreed however, tweeting: "I kinda hoped they'd have done something a little bit extra with our Eurovision song since the national song contest - add a bit of oomph or something. Nope. Nada."

A downbeat Caroline Tiernan said: "I don't think we have to worry about having to fork out money to host next year's #Eurovision anyway."

But most were full of praise for Brooke and her interview labelling her a "bundle of joy".

What do you think? Will Brooke get Ireland to a respectable finish in this year's Eurovision?
