Fans of crime drama Kin on RTE were fuming at the season finale tonight as they compared the final episode to The Godfather.
After seven tense episodes where the characters fought for their lives, the finale was had viewers taking to Twitter to express how they felt about the Irish series.
The Kinsellas and Cunninghams wrapped things up in a pulsating denoument - leaving questions and opinions of season two on many people's lips.
But some viewers were disappointed, one said: "A very poor imitation of the Godfather. Very disappointing. Nothing original or new there."
Another posted: "Some bang of The Godfather off that ending".
A third said: "In true RTE Drama fashion they killed off the best thing in Kin in the worst Godfather rip off ever."
Others commented: "Kin basically copying The Godfather there".
"Someone has watched The Godfather once too often - Catholic ritual juxtaposed with gangland violence."
"A great example of stealing from the best. The makers of Kin pay homage to the Godfather. A great show that was beautifully shot and built the tension masterfully."
