Fair City’s Ryan Andrews reckons Paralympic hero Ellen Keane will win Dancing with the Stars.
The actor – who plays Sean Cassidy in the RTE soap – got to the finals of the contest in 2020 and believes Ellen will lift the glitterball trophy this year.
Panto star Ryan, 28, had a few words of advice for Ellen – and her competitors including Grainne Seoige and Cathy Kelly – ahead of the show’s kick-off on January 9.
Dubliner Ryan told the Irish Mirror: “Ellen is absolutely incredible, she’s got an unbelievable mindset, she’s in it to win it, I can see her going to the top.
“It’s a great line up, loads of new professional dancers, it’s a big shake up. Missy Keating could be good too, there’s a bit of go in her.”
His top tips for the 12 stars vying for the trophy is to work hard during the week and enjoy their time at Ardmore studios in Co Wicklow.
He said: “You’ve Monday to Friday to work as hard as you possibly can, every minute, every hour, so you can enjoy the weekend.”
Ryan was disappointed after the Olympia pantomime Olly, Polly and the Beanstalk was cancelled due to Covid.
He said: “We recorded last year’s panto, Once Upon a Panto, and as we didn’t get into the Olympia this year, we said we’d stream it for charity this year.”
The show is available to stream until January 3 and viewers are asked to make to a suggested €10 donation to AsIAm.
