RTE Fair City fans lose patience with soap as they slam one particular theme

Fans of RTE's Fair City have said they are "fed up" with coronavirus-related storylines on the show.

The Carrigstown drama returned to our screens earlier this month after an enforced break due to Covid-19.

And a number of viewers shared their frustration on social media after the latest episodes of the soap.

Fans insisted that they watch the show for "escapism" and found the "depressing" Covid-19 plots draining to follow.

Some viewers even went as far as to say they won't be watched the soap again until the pandemic has come to an end.

One wrote: "So Fair City has become a 30 minute HSE directed and produced advertisement.

"I'm done watching it until they bring back good storylines."

While another said: "Right! That’s it- not watching Fair City again until after we’ve all had a dose of the Covid-19 vaccination."

And another viewer added: "We're FED UP of hearing about the virus. Bit of escapism. Please."
