RTE Claire Byrne Live viewers all in agreement over topic that really got them going

RTE Claire Byrne Live viewers were all saying the same thing about getting back to normal life as the panel debated the post-pandemic world.

The Monday night current affairs show hosted a wide range of voices, from columnists to scientists to artists to footballers and publicans, on the topic of returning to normal life after the COVID-19 pandemic is over.

But one topic really got viewers going - the topic of returning to pubs and nights out once the country finally fully reopens.

Columnist Brenda Power and podcaster Blindboy both agrees - albeit for different reasons - that the days of people crowding into packed bars could be over, while publican Billy Keane hoped to bring packed houses back as soon as possible.

And it's the latter view that viewers shared, with most saying they were eager to get back to nights out once all was safe again.

A survey done by the show said that 80% of people believed their behaviour would be permanently altered by the pandemic, even in a post-pandemic world.
