RTE 2FM star Tracy Clifford opens up about why she chose Wicklow wedding venue over Ibiza

Tracy Clifford is getting married in Wicklow after shunning a sun filled ceremony in Ibiza.

The 2FM presenter will say "I do" to fiancé Mark next May after he popped the question earlier this year.

Dishing the details on her upcoming nuptials, she tells us: "The wedding is this time next year.

"I tried to get married in Ibiza but I decided against it because I didn’t want anybody to have to fork out money."

"So, the wedding is in Wicklow next year. I can’t believe it," adds the afternoon radio star.

Everything is already in place and the only thing left on her to do list is to find the perfect dress ahead of the big day.

"I am so chill, everything is done. Everyone else is stressing me out, but it will all be fine. We will just turn up and have a party," explains Tracy.

And will any of her 2FM co-stars be part of the celebrations?

"You might see Tara Stewart as flautist. I don’t know whether you know she is a noted flautist. I might get one of them to do a reading a rope them in that way, you never know."

2FM have officially launched their brand new schedule and Tracy admits that it was a tense time waiting to hear where she would be placed, or if she would make the cut: "You are always nervous when you work as contractors.

"My JNLR’s have been solid for the past four years, it is 20,000 year on year.

"Everybody is exhaling a little bit. We are all living in low for our listeners, and they don’t know what is going on behind the scenes.

"Now, it is about going back to doing the best show possible and it is great to have the schedule sorted."

The broadcaster will now to take to the airwaves an hour earlier than before as she fronts the 12-3 slot in between Jennifer Zamparelli in the morning and Jenny Greene's drive time show.

"The change up happened relatively quickly in the end, so I was able to get down to planning straight away," she adds.
