RT Marcus Gilbert added to Cardinals’ Week 1 injury report

The Arizona Cardinals had an addition to their Week 1 injury fans most certainly do not want to see. Starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert, who was not previously listed on the report on Wednesday, was listed as limited with a knee injury on Thursday.

Gilbert has had injury issues the last two seasons, having appeared in no more than seven games since 2016. Obviously, we have to wait to see how much he practices on Friday to know whether he is in danger of having to sit out but if he can’t play it is a major concern.

Outside of Gilbert, the rest of the injury report was the same. Rookie offensive lineman Lamont Gaillard again sat out with a knee injury. Linebackers Haason Reddick (knee) and Zeke Turner (hand) were limited.

Reddick’s status for Sunday is unclear, although there is a feeling that he will probably play at least some.

“I don’t know what his role will be in the game,” head coach Kliff Kingsbury said on Wednesday. “Like I said before, we don’t want to put him in unless he’s 100 percent and feels great about being out there.”
