An animal carer did not have the usual coronavirus symptoms but after looking "off colour" just days after her birthday, she went into cardiac arrest and died, her family said.
Jayne Lowry, from Preston, Lancashire, did not have a cough but was rushed to hospital after her heart stopped beating on Saturday, before passing away the next day.
She had "braved" the coronavirus outbreak to attend Crufts a couple of weeks before, according to a social media post.
Mum Jackie Lowry has called her 26-year-old daughter "amazing and beautiful".
She praised the paramedics who "fought very hard to save her", adding the family would be "forever grateful".
"Why this devastating thing happened we will only have to wait and see, continued Mrs Lowry, 56.

"She will be forever in our hearts and sorely missed."
The heartbroken mum updated her Facebook profile picture to one of her daughter, alongside the words: "Protect your community against Covid-19."

Jayne had done a work placement at Blackpool Zoo and went on to become an animal care assistant at the RSPCA in Preston over three years ago.
Jackie and Jayne had attended Crufts dog show at the NEC in Birmingham earlier this month, with the former posting on Facebook that they were "braving the virus".

Euan Murray, who had been dating Jayne for eight years, posted: "We have all tragically lost the most loving woman on the face of the planet – funny and beautiful to boot.
"Jayney, I'd give anything to hold you one last time – our socially-distant walk round the park just wasn't enough."
His dad, Robert Murray, added: "Covid-19 does not just affect the old. It has no respect of age or gender."
