The RSPCA has seized a dog from a man filmed kicking the animal on the side of a Gold Coast road.
The animal welfare charity begun investigating the incident after footage of it went viral on Monday afternoon.
The video earned more than 125,000 views in two hours before being taken down.
The woman who uploaded the video said the man punched the dog with a closed fist.
The RSPCA says the dog is now being cared for and charges against the man are being considered.
The man does have the right to appeal the seizure.
