RSPCA's desperate plea to find new home for one-eyed dog who 'adores cuddles'

The RSPCA has issued a desperate plea to rehome a one-eyed dog who “adores cuddles and fuss”.

Bud, aged 10, was brought into RSPCA Northamptonshire with a tumour over one of his eyes - and underwent an operation to try to remove it.

Thankfully, the surgery was successful and Bud has now made a full recovery.

The animal charity is hoping to secure Bud a loving retirement home where he can live out his final years surrounded by people who love him.

A RSPCA statement reads: “Bud is a lovable boy who loves being with people and adores cuddles and fuss.

“He is looking for a home where he can relax in his retirement years and be showered with love.

“Bud would love a home where he will be with people for most of the time as he adores company.”

Bud is currently living in a foster home and is said to enjoy his walks and is good on a lead.

The statement adds: “He loves everyone he meets. He loves company and will make a loving part of the family.

“Bud can live in a home with children over the age of 14 who are familiar with giving boundaries to dogs.

“Bud will be best as the only dog in the home and is not suited to living with cats or small furries.”

If you’re interested in rehoming Bud, or learning more about him, please contact RSPCA Northamptonshire on 01604 881317 or email adoptions@rspca-northamptonshire.org.uk .
