'RRR' box office collection Day 6: SS Rajamouli's film set to close first week with Rs 132 crore collection

S S Rajamouli's epic period action drama 'RRR' has been minting money at the world box office. The film's Hindi dubbed version has also managed to hold strong in the domestic markets.

On Wednesday, the film saw a minor 10% drop in collections. It earned an estimated Rs 13.5-14 crore nett, states a report on boxofficeindia.com. This double-digit collection puts the film's total at an estimated Rs 120 crore nett.

With this, 'RRR' has now beaten Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi', which took seven days to earn the same collection.

With fans still flocking to theatres in large numbers to catch the film on a week day, trade experts have predicted that the film will close its first week on a high with an estimated total of around Rs 132 crore nett.

Friday will be crucial for the film as it will dictate if it can make it past the Rs 200 crore nett mark. It will be interesting to see if the film can indeed outperform 'The Kashmir Files' at the box office to become the highest-grossing post-pandemic release.

According to the latest reports, the film has earned an estimated Rs 611 crore gross at the worldwide box office. 'RRR' has reprotedly collected Rs 474 crore gross in India with a major portion of the collections earned from the Hindi dubbed version and other regional languages.

The pre-Independence fictional story stars Ram Charan and N T Rama Rao Jr as Indian revolutionaries Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, respectively. Set in the 1920s, the film also features Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in key roles.
