Roz Purcell says she's 'come so far' in dealing with eating issues

Roz Purcell has opened up about her issues with food, saying she has “come so far”.

The stunning food guru admitted that she was upset after finding a notebook that reminded her of when she ate just 400 calories a day.

Roz said: "I found a notebook and it made me realise how far I’ve come.

“It’s so upsetting to read now because I ate 400 calories a day.

''Your whole worth is what weight you are, how skinny your waist is or if you have a thigh gap.

“It’s really difficult because once you get wrapped up in that, it becomes a vicious circle.”

In the tell-all chat on Emma Power and Laura Fox’s podcast Unlocked, she said: ''I look at it now and it's real proof of how far I’ve come but at the same time it’s really upsetting.

"There is so much help out there, no matter how bad you think you are.

“Do I still get strange thoughts about my food and body? Yes but I have the tools to be not able to let it consume my day or change my habits."

Earlier this week, the Dubliner shared a post on Instagram that showed the difference between Instagram and reality.

She said: “Today’s #contentcontent is more of an informative one - don’t let an image tell you how you see yourself and don’t let an image make you feel like you need to change.

“It’s strange that we will never see ourselves through someone else’s eyes, isn’t it?

“We are always fed images of ourselves that are distorted.... even mirrors!”
