Roz Purcell says it's 'so typical' she broke leg 'the week before we are set free'

Irish Instagram star Roz Purcell says it is "so typical" that she would break her leg "the week before we are set free".

The 30-year-old Tipperay native was playing tennis when she broke her leg and Roz said the pain was so bad she wanted to 'projectile vomit'.

Roz added that she won't need surgery on the broken leg.

She posted an older pictyre of herself in the sea on Instagram: ""Missing the sunset dips, so typical to break my leg the week before we are set free.

"Hope ye are all hiking the s**t out of it in my honour."

Friends of the influencer wished her well with her recovery.

Virgin Media presenter Lucy Kennedy posted: "Do NOT think that I will be joining you for a swim."

Another said: "Oh no - you poor thing! Hope you are doing ok."

The Irish model kept things light in the midst of a painful situation when previously talking about the break.

Purcell joked: “You know that my biggest flex used to be that I've never broken a bone and never had a filling, now I'm just left with never having a filling.

“Just to say, I’ve got strong bones, like I've had so many falls beforehand, it’s a miracle I haven't broken anything, so it was just an accident I wasn't even doing anything.”

In true freak accident form, instead of occurring on one of her adventurous outings in the mountains, this happened while playing a game of tennis.

She said: “Listen, I'll be like crawling on the side of mountains, but I was literally just stepping backward, I was playing tennis and it was a freak accident."

Talking about the extent of the pain, she revealed: “I didn’t hear it snap but I knew, like you know when you hurt something so badly you feel like you’re going to vomit, that’s what this was like.”
