Royals plan summit Monday; Meghan Markle expected to phone in from Canada, reports say

The reeling royals will gather Monday for a Megxit meeting, with Meghan Markle expected to phone into the summit from Canada, according to reports.

Prince Harry will join Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Prince William at the gathering at Sandringham estate, CNN reported.

Prince Harry and his American wife shocked Buckingham Palace and the world Wednesday when they revealed plans to step back from their public-facing royal roles.

Markle has since headed back to Canada, viewed as a possible future landing spot for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. (Their dogs are in Canada, according to the Guardian.)

Potential plans for the future relationship between the couple and the crown will be laid out at the powwow, a palace source told Harper's Bazaar. Prince Harry intends to proceed with his planned diary this week, according to the magazine, and will return to Canada sometime after Thursday.

It's not clear when Markle will return to Britain. She and Prince Harry have bristled at the blinding media spotlight they've faced since they wed in 2018.
