Royals' outing at James Bond premiere could herald 'new era' for joint engagements

The premiere of the new James Bond movie saw the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge step out onto the red carpet alongside Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.

And these rare joint engagements could become more and more common in the future, according to royal sources.

Last night the four senior royals attended the glittering world premiere of the eagerly awaited film No Time To Die at the Royal Albert Hall in London.

The couples arrived separately but greeted each other with kisses on the red carpet before posing for the cameras.

The group then met 007 star Daniel Craig, who looked dapper in a pink suede dinner jacket, and other cast members including Rami Malek, Lea Seydoux and Lashana Lynch.

Kate looked stunning in a custom sparkling gold sequinned Jenny Packham cape gown and wore her hair up to show off her beautiful gold earrings by Onitaa.

Camilla opted for a pale blue corseted chiffon dress with silver embroidery by Bruce Oldfield.

Meanwhile, both Charles and William channelled 007 himself by wearing black tuxedos.

The outing was the first time the foursome had attended a joint engagement in over a year. Then they visited a veterans' rehabilitation centre together in Loughborough.

And royal sources told the Mirror the latest outing of Charles, Camilla, William and Kate could herald a "new era" of collaboration and solidarity between the future king and his eldest son.

But despite having a busy night last night, there was no time to rest for William and Kate today.

This afternoon they arrived in Northern Ireland for a visit to Derry-Londonderry and to see students and staff at Ulster University's Magee Campus.

And Kate stunned once again as she bravely held a tarantula spider, called Charlotte, and let it run crawl her hands while touring the university as a seemingly nervous William looked on.

After dazzling at the Bond premiere last night, Kate swapped her glittering gown for a vibrant magenta trouser suit by Emilia Wickstead with a dark roll neck jumper and wore her hair in a ponytail.
