Royal wedding: Inside the goodie bags every guest received

Every guest at the wedding between Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank received a special goodie bag as a parting gift.

The Royal Wedding gift bags were donated by Key to Freedom, a charitable initiative founded by The York Family in 2012 which supports young female artisans in West Bengal, India.

The burgundy canvas bags were filled with various mementos to commemorate the royal celebrations, including branded shortbread, a fridge magnet and a giant chocolate coin in the shape of Windsor Castle.

In honour of the unreliable British weather, a trusty rain poncho was also included in the bag, which was embroidered with the first letters of the bride and groom's names.

Key to Freedom helps to market products made by the Women's Interlink Foundation (WIF), which provides young women in West Bengal transferable skills they can use to earn an income.

Many of the women who the WIF helps have been victims of domestic abuse and sex trafficking.

The Duke of York founded Key to Freedom after a visit to India, which had been arranged as part of the celebrations for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee.

While there, he met WIF's founder Aloka Mitra and spent time with some of the women the charity was supporting at the time.

The Duchess of York and Princess Eugenie soon made visits of their own to help find new ways they could also support Mitra through Key to Freedom.

Key to Freedom's goodie bags are expected to have been distributed to more than 2,000 people.

Approximately 850 guests attended the ceremony at St George's Chapel, Windsor Castle while an additional 1,200 members of the public watched on from the grounds.

Kate Moss, Robbie Williams and Cara Delevingne were just some of the A-list names in attendance.
