Royal Mint releases poppy coin to mark 100 years of Remembrance Day

This year marks a century of commemorating Remembrance Day across the UK.

Originally conceived as a means of paying respect to servicemen and women who died in the First World War, the ceremony has expanded to include tributes to those who have given their lives in service to their country in subsequent conflicts.

The Royal Mint has released a new Remembrance Day 2019 £5 coin which offers a permanent and reverent way to remember the sacrifices of our military personnel over the past century.
