The Royal Highland Show (RHS) takes place at Ingliston this week, and drivers are being advised to leave extra traveling time.
It’s expected to be busier on the M90, A720 and M9 heading towards Edinburgh because of the event, and commuters should expect the same on the A8.
Those traveling to Edinburgh Airport especially should take increased traffic in to account when planning their journey to ensure they arrive in plenty of time for their flights.
The Royal Highland Show will run from Thursday 20 June to Saturday 23 June, although roads are expected to start getting busier from Wednesday morning onwards.
Over the four days in June, the RHS plays host to over 900 competitions, and offers a range of displays and exhibitions to enjoy, including world-class equine displays, countryside pursuits and educational workshops.
