The Royal Guards outside Buckingham Palace surprised onlookers when they performed a rendition of Queen’s "Bohemian Rhapsody" on Monday.
The song choice was chosen in honour of the film of the same name’s success at the 2019 Golden Globes, where it won awards for Best Picture and Best Actor in a Drama.
On Twitter, tourists shared videos of the Band of the Grenadier Guards playing the classic song, with most people expressing their delight at the impromptu concert.
“Bohemian Rhapsody at Buckingham Palace today, so cool!” one person captioned a video.
Another said: “Aw Buckingham Palace gave a tribute to Bohemian Rhapsody for winning.”
One video shared to social media of the guards has been viewed more than 112,000 times.
“Goosebumps,” one viewer wrote.
After the Queen tribute, the band reportedly went on to play a rendition of the Game of Thrones theme - in honour of GOT actor and Golden Globes winner, Richard Madden, for his role in the TV drama Bodyguard.
Although not a regular occurrence, the guard occasionally performs song covers to honour important occasions.
In July, the guard played ABBA’s "Dancing Queen" outside the palace - the same week Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again was released - and in August, the Band of the Welsh Guards performed "Respect" to honour Aretha Franklin as she was laid to rest.
