Royal fans think Carole Middleton has given away who her favourite grandchild is

It's not a truth many adults would readily admit, but plenty of parents and grandparents do have a secret "favourite".

And while he's one of three VERY cute kids, royal fans think it's Prince George who is the apple of grandmother Carole Middleton's eye.

The clues are apparently all there, hidden in plain sight on the Party Pieces website.

According to The Express, the kids' birthday cakes on the party supplies site are what's giving it away.

In the gallery of personalised cakes that can be decorated with the name of a child in icing across the top, 'George' is one of the most typically featured.

Other designs also feature the names 'James' (which is what Carole's only son is called) and, intriguingly, 'Archie' - which, as we all know, is what Harry and Meghan plumped for. It was also revealed that Prince George claimed this was his nickname . Hmm...

Carole's brood of grandkids now stands at four, with the three Cambridges and Pippa Middleton's baby son, Arthur Matthews.

Yet none of the other names feature on personalised cakes and decorations. Of course, it could just be a coincidence - we certainly couldn't say which of the Cambridge kids was the cutest!

Many of the other cakes read "Oliver" and it just so happens that Oliver, George, and James are among some of the most popular baby names in the UK.

Party Pieces was founded back when the Middleton children were small, and was operated initially out of Carole's kitchen.

The rest, as they say, is history. The business became a huge success and allowed Carole and Michael to send all three kids to Marlborough.
