Royal fans have been struck by how much Princess Charlotte resembles her great-grandmother the Queen in a newly released photograph.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a family portrait yesterday (December 10), and people on social media were quick to point out how much their daughter looks like the Queen, the Daily Mail reported.
Twitter user Julia wrote: "Catherine always looks like she’s having so much fun. And the little Princess looks so much like Her Majesty the Queen. Such a lovely happy family."

Jane wrote: "What a handsome family. You can really see Queen Elizabeth in Princess Charlotte."
While A.J. Delgado said: "Is it just me or does Charlotte look exactly like the Queen and little Louis has a lot of Philip in him (in the eyes/stare)?"

The portrait, which will feature on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's Christmas card this year, was taken on a secret trip to Jordan earlier this year.
The family shared the photo on social media with the caption: 'Delighted to share a new image of the family, which features on this year’s Christmas card.'
It's not known when the trip to Jordan happened, but it is likely that it took place in the later part of the year when travel restrictions were relaxed.

During the summer, Jordan was on the amber list, meaning that after July 19 fully jabbed arrivals into the UK did not have to quarantine, as long as they took a pre-departure test and a PCR test on day two and eight after coming home.
On October 4 the pre-departure and day eight tests were scrapped.
No details of the visit were announced to the public because it was a private family holiday, rather than an official royal tour.
