Royal Deeside hotel for sale with £1.2 million price tag

A hotel and chalet complex on Royal Deeside is on the market for £1.2 million.

Braemar Lodge Hotel was built in the 1870s as a Victorian shooting lodge but later transformed into a country house hotel and self-catering complex.

Operated by the current owners since 1996, it includes seven en-suite bedrooms in the main house, a 12-berth bunkhouse and nine self-catering chalets.

It sits in private garden grounds and has a restaurant and dining facilities.

The hotel is a popular venue for visitors enjoying the nearby Cairngorms, golf, fishing, skiing, sights such as the Queen's Balmoral Castle and the village’s annual Braemar Gathering.

Alistair Letham, director at selling agent Colliers International , said: “The business has established an excellent reputation and, as a result, attracts high volumes of repeat custom.

"The current owners’ decision to retire and sell Braemar Lodge Hotel offers potential purchasers a wonderful opportunity to take over a multi-faceted and established business in a popular Highland location.”
