Royal Blood confirm Manchester Arena date on massive UK tour

Rock duo Royal Blood have announced details of a huge UK arena tour next spring.

The multi-award winning pair will play some of the country's biggest venues in 2022 in support of their upcoming third album Typhoons.

The band's big hits include the massive singles Figure It Out, Trouble's Coming and I Only Lie When I Love You.

Their first two albums - the self-titled Mercury Prize-nominated debut Royal Blood and follow-up How Did We Get So Dark? - both topped the UK albums charts.

Royal Blood formed in 2011 in Brighton, with Mike Kerr on vocals and bass and Ben Thatcher on drums.

The 2022 tour - their first full tour since 2017 - will arrive in Manchester on April 2, 2022, with other gigs planned for arenas in Nottingham, Cardiff, Birmingham and Leeds.

Their show at London's The O2 will be Royal Blood's biggest headline performance to date.

The duo have been named best live band at the Q Awards and NME Awards as well as winning a Kerrang Award for Best British Newcomer in 2015.

Royal Blood commented: "Playing live is the DNA and sole purpose of our band. On stage with our fans is where we belong, and we cannot wait for this tour to be a reality!"

Pre-sale tickets will go on sale at 9am on Wednesday May 5 for those who pre-order the Typhoons album from the Royal Blood official store.

The general sale will begin at 9am on Friday May 7 from Ticketmaster.
