Royal Baby: Disney’s Winnie-the-pooh animation gift to Harry and Meghan’s son

Disney has given Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's week-old son a special gift by dedicating a charming Winnie-the-Pooh cartoon to him.

The beautiful watercolour film drawn by the studio's senior principal artists Kim Raymond shows AA Milne’s bear delivering a book to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who was born on 6 May.

During the 25-second clip, Pooh sets off from the Hundred Acre Wood and down the Long Walk to Windsor Castle with a present under his arm.

In a series of colourful frames, he crosses a wildflower meadow and jumps over a little stream before he arrives at the Queen’s residence.

Pooh finally arrives at Archie’s cot and is pictured sitting beside cartoon versions of Harry and Meghan as they read through the present, a blue book with a crown on its cover.

Disney commissioned the animation for Baby Sussex as both the Duke and Duchess are known to be fans.

When Meghan ran her own lifestyle website, the Tig, prior to marrying Harry, she reportedly wrote that The Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff was one of her favourite Pooh books.

Harry is also a sentimental fan and reportedly bought a rare first edition of the AA Milne book for Prince Louis’s christening last year.

In 2016, Winnie-the-Pooh also met the Queen in a book celebrating both their 90th birthdays.
