Roy Keane tells Manchester United and Man City target Harry Kane where he must improve

Harry Kane has to show more outwards leadership, Roy Keane believes.

Both Manchester United and Manchester City are interested in the England captain this summer after he expressed a desire to leave Tottenham in search of silverware.

Kane has been Spurs' talisman for years and while he is not captain for his club, he is one of their dressing room leaders and more experienced players. For England, Kane wears the armband, and was a key player in the Three Lions' run to the World Cup semi-finals in 2018.

For now, Kane is focussing on Euro 2020 with England, and ahead of their group game against Scotland, pundit Keane was asked about the role Kane plays as captain.

Notorious as a vocal leader himself during his playing days for United, Keane challenged Kane to be more demanding of his teammates during games as well as simply leading by example.

He told ITV: “Of course we all lead in different ways. Harry probably leads in the way he plays, the goals he gets. He’s been fine with England.

"I’ve been disappointed in a few games when I think Spurs haven’t been at it and I’ve never seen him pick people out, he kind of lets people get away with it and I’d want more from Harry Kane on that front.”
