Roy Keane hit out at Martin Dubravka's role in Arsenal's opening goal against Newcastle United in Sunday afternoon's game.
The Magpies made the worst possible start to the game when Mohamed Elneny opened the scoring for the Gunners after just five minutes.
It was a goal that proved the difference at half-time in a lacklustre first half for Newcastle United, which saw them struggle to create chances and get possession of the ball against an inconsistent Arsenal side.
Keane was unimpressed with Dubravka's attempt to save the shot, with Hector Bellerin's cut-back being deflected to Elneny on the edge of the box before the midfielder fired into the bottom corner with the ball sitting up nicely for him to do so.
With Dubravka getting a hand on the shot, which flew through a crowded area, Keane hit out at the goalkeeper for being unable to keep the ball out.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Keane said Elneny should have had to do more than simply hitting the target in order to score.
Despite this, the former Manchester United midfielder admitted that Arsenal were good value for their lead and were deservedly 1-0 up at half-time.
He said: “You say it’s a good finish, he’s obviously hit the target.
"It’s good movement from Bellerin, we know he’s capable of doing this.
"Elneny, you think ‘hit the target’, but for me, the keeper has to save this.
"To me, he’s got a good hand to it, he has to save it, not good enough, but Arsenal have been the better team and deserve to be in front."
