Roy Keane slams Manchester United players as he criticises standards at Old Trafford

Manchester United legend Roy Keane has slammed the current United side ahead of their Premier League clash with Manchester City.

United face City at Old Trafford looking to improve their top four chances and respond after their humiliating 4-0 defeat to Everton on Saturday.

Keane told Sky Sports on Solskjaer and the players: “He will be under pressure because they’re not getting results and particularly the performances.

"I’m always intrigued when I hear people say, ‘we’ll be up for the next game’ because you should be up for every game, whether it be for United or Altrincham.

Manchester United legend Roy Keane gives verdict on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of Man City

"I don’t fall for this carry-on, that there’s going to be a brilliant reaction.

"These are the same players that threw Mourinho under the bus. They will do exactly the same to Ole. Leopards don’t change their spots. There’s too many bluffers at this club, to get United back to the very top.

"The standards have dropped at United on and off the pitch."

“That’s why I was angry on Sunday, Jose Mourinho is a hardened manager with 20 years of success. You could say, ‘okay, he can handle it’.

"But I sat next to Ole in the changing room for 11 years. I have a ‘feeling’ towards him. I’m not going sit here and be quiet and watch those players throw him under a bus, it’s not happening."
