Roy Keane slams England "arrogance" in Prague and points finger at Three Lions pair

Roy Keane said England only had themselves to blame after throwing away a lead to , and singled out two players for criticism.

Gareth Southgate's side looked as though they were well set to earn the win they require to qualify for Euro 2020 when Raheem Sterling was felled in the box early on, with Harry Kane scoring the resulting penalty.

However, a quickfire equaliser from defender Jakub Brabec brought the scores level, with 30-year-old debutant Zdenek Ondrasek climbing off the bench to win it for the hosts late on.

Keane, who was working on the game as a pundit for ITV, was disappointed with the visitors' display

"I think there was a lot of frustration," said the Irishman.

"I don't think England looked right from the start of the game, and that can happen in football. You go away from home, it's going to be difficult. But they didn't look right, they didn't seem sharp.

"There was a lot of bickering going on before the end, which is fine, because players are upset, and they're pointing the finger at each other, which is fine."

Keane went on to criticise two England defenders for their role in Ondrasek's winner.

Danny Rose was below par (REUTERS)

"You're five minutes away from getting a draw, which is not the end of the world, and there's almost a bit of arrogance from England," he said.

"Danny Rose was never going to win a header, there was more chance of me winning a header than him.

"And then (Harry) Maguire, for a guy with his experience, you have to smell and sense danger in a football game, and he strolls out. Get up to people! It just summed up the whole night for England."

Keane - who went on to call Rose's display "shocking and abysmal" - added that England can have no complaints with the loss.

Keane laid into the pair (ITV)

"They got what they deserved. Started slowly, never quite recovered.

"No intensity, no fight in parts of the game. When you start the game slowly it's a long way back.

"And a lot of those problems, particularly when you look at the winning goal. So it is self-inflicted, we've seen that in the previous couple of games, and they've got nobody to blame but themslves."
