Roy Keane branded Edinson Cavani's performance "poor" after Manchester United frittered away a commanding lead to leave Aston Villa with a solitary point on Saturday evening.
Ralf Rangnick's side led 2-0 with less than 15 minutes remaining thanks to a brace from Bruno Fernandes before Jacob Ramsey and Philippe Coutinho hauled Villa back on level terms with quick-fire goals as the spoils were shared in a captivating Premier League clash.
United came into the match without Cristiano Ronaldo or Marcus Rashford, both of whom had minor injuries, so 19-year-old Anthony Elanga started up front.
This left the onus on Cavani to spearhead the attack, but the Uruguayan had a quiet game and the Red Devils had less possession and fewer shots on target (six) than their hosts (nine).

Former United captain Keane was less than impressed by the veteran striker, 34, and claimed Rangnick is short of options up front.
"I thought Cavani was poor. I’m surprised they left him on for the whole game," the Irishman told Sky Sports . "It just showed their shortcomings. The table doesn’t lie. There’s still that bit of a weakness."
Keane also criticised United's work rate in the closing stages after Villa found the back of the net in the 77th and 81st minutes.
"When you look at the goals from Villa, no one was breaking up momentum, they were just running past Villa," he added.
"United players were just falling by the wayside. United looked tired in the second half, looked quite weak in midfield."
Overall, Keane felt a draw was "just about a fair result", saying: "It was a big test for Villa. After an hour you thought the scoreline and situation.
"But big credit to Villa. It’s a big point for them. You saw the weaknesses in United. You couldn’t be grudged for Villa to draw.
"United didn’t quite run at it in terms of the counter-attack."

United overcame Villa with a 1-0 win in the FA Cup third round on Monday, but they lost their previous Premier League outing 1-0 at home to Wolves.
Rangnick's appointment as interim manager in late November has not had the rejuvenating effect Old Trafford chiefs hoped it would and the club sit seventh in the table after a mixed run of results.
They are five points behind fourth-placed West Ham with a game in hand, but Tottenham are sixth with two games in hand and Arsenal are also in contention for Champions League qualification.
Up next for Rangnick's side is a trip to Brentford on Wednesday.
