Roy Keane shocks fans as he returns to boyhood club Cobh Ramblers

Roy Keane made a return to his boyhood club last night as Cobh Ramblers took on Bray in St Colman’s.

The Manchester United legend arrived at the match to cheer on Ramblers and also made plenty of time for meeting the stars of the future.

Ian Turner will be a particularly happy man as he scored the winner for the senior side as they overcame the Seagulls by a goal to nil, Cork Beo reports.

Keane posed for pictures after the match with anyone who asked and looked in very high spirits on his return to Cobh.

The current Nottingham Forest assistant manager also joined the high-flying Cobh u-17 team for a picture outside the dressing rooms.

Keano played for Ramblers in the late 80s up until 1990 when he got his big break.

Brian Clough watched the combative midfielder in action for the East Cork side and decided to part ways with £10,000 to bring the young man to Nottingham Forest.

Ever since then things have gone pretty well for the Cork man.
