Roy Keane's reaction as Gary Neville attempts to defend Man Utd's Luke Shaw

His managerial track record is not the best but what Manchester United fans would give for Roy Keane's passion in their dressing room right now.

When Gary Neville tried to offer something in the way of a defence for left-back Luke Shaw, the Irishman's eyes said it all.

Keane was fuming after his old club's surrender allowed Manchester City an easy ride at Old Trafford.

The result means they are three wins from reclaiming the Premier League title as a gap in class told.

If eye-rolling was an Olympic sport, the ex-United captain would be gold-medal standard.

Keane's look of disdain said it all as he scowled his way through the analysis.

Viewers picked up on his scornful approach with many fans still wishing his was taking care of things in the middle of the park.

Twitter was awash with praise for Keane for coming out fighting.

"Roy Keane absolutely smashed it tonight on sky get him on will do every week please," pleaded one.

Another wrote: "Roy Keane is beyond spot on. These defenders are such wusses. Won’t even put their body on the line. Disgraceful."

Fans would swap him for Paul Pogba in a heartbeat and Keane took a swipe at the Frenhman.

"I wouldn't believe a word he says. There's no meaning behind it," Keane said after Pogba's pre-match interview.

Paul Pogba named in PFA Team of the Year as Liverpool and Man City monopolise

"He’s on about being a team-mate, if you’re going to be a good teammate you’ve got to run back when you’re defending.

"The guy is a talented boy, but we’re saying the same thing over and over again. The number of times we’ve seen him in games where he is not sprinting or running back.

"I don’t think he leads by example, from what I see. I don’t know what he’s like on the training ground or when they’re travelling, but from what I see. He mentioned body language and pride, but I don’t see it in his performances.

"He’s talking about body language – but throws his hands up in the air.

"He’s a big problem for United."
