Roy Keane's makes Sunderland paintball joke as he reveals tactic to save them from relegation

Roy Keane's unlikely chemistry with Micah Richards has thrown up an hilarious revelation about Keano's time at Sunderland.

The duo have formed an unexpected partnership when covering football for Sky Sports and ITV, with the former giving them their own preview show ahead of Euro 2020.

During the chats, Keane and Richards discussed what activities they enjoyed away from the training pitch.

The former Sunderland boss told Sky’s Euro 2020 preview show ‘Road To Wembley’: "Paintballing! Brilliant.

“But you always know when teams are having a hard time when they’re paintballing."

Richards said: “You don’t do it when you’re winning."

Keane joked: “You know you’re heading for relegation when you’re paintballing.

“I was doing that every week at Sunderland and Ipswich Town.

“I thought a bit of paintballing will keep us up.

“Are we doing any training today? No no lads, we’re doing a bit of paintballing - and then we’re going for a Chinese!”
