Roy Keane's fiery reaction to Tottenham fans after Theo Walcott's 2-0 gesture in 2014

The north London derby can be a fiery spectacle.

And when you have Roy Keane lined up as a pundit for it, you can expect fireworks.

By the Manchester United legend's own admission he was a Tottenham fan growing up, so you would expect some degree of bias when reporting on their match against bitter rivals Arsenal.

But back in 2014 Keane decided to take aim at Spurs instead following their 2-0 defeat by the Gunners in the third round of the FA Cup.

The match was remembered for Theo Walcott suffering a serious injury and taunting the Spurs fans by gesturing the scoreline as he was being carried away on a stretcher.

Tottenham supporters reacted angrily to say the least, prompting a reaction from Keane.

While providing his post-match analysis on ITV, the Irishman said: "All he was doing was telling them the scoreline, and the Tottenham fans, quite ridiculous."

He wasn't done there though, and later added: "I would class it as a typical Tottenham performance, they will obviously let you down most of the time.

"It was a comfortable afternoon for Arsenal, I bet they couldn't believe how comfortable it was."

Keane's comments garnered laughter from both Ian Wright and Ledley King in the studio, who were also on hand to provide analysis on the two north London teams.

Then Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger was delighted with his side's result.

He told the press: "The game was played at a good pace and I think we controlled quite well both sides of it, the defensive and the offensive.

"We always looked to have a good discipline and to be tight at the back.

"Every time, when our game is based on movement and quick, sharp passing, we looked dangerous."

Then Spurs boss Tim Sherwood was obviously unimpressed, but didn't have quite the same response as Keane in the studio.

Sherwood said: "I am disappointed with the result, but we didn't disgrace ourselves. We showed we belong on the same field and in the same company as Arsenal.

"It has been six games in 17 days for us and we probably have the smallest squad in the league with the amount of injuries we have had.

"We were fatigued. A little bit of sharpness was missing but it could have gone either way. They showed great character and I am proud of them."
