Roy Keane makes Premier League title prediction after Liverpool's draw with Manchester United

Roy Keane has reiterated his belief that Liverpool will retain their Premier League title but has ruled Everton out of contention.

The Reds sit fourth in the standings after a 0-0 draw with Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.

Sunday's results mean there are just five points separating the top six clubs in the Premier League, with Everton, in sixth, also boasting a game in hand.

If Carlo Ancelotti 's side were victorious in that game, they would leapfrog Liverpool by a point, with the same amount of games played.

Jurgen Klopp 's side are 18 points worse off than at this stage of last season amid a mountain of injuries at centre-back, with Jordan Henderson and Fabinho the defensive pairing against United at the weekend.

Despite their lack of fit defenders, Keane still believes that Liverpool will win the league but insisted Everton are not in the running.

"I'm still sticking with Liverpool. They're obviously having a difficult spell for them, because of the standards they've set for the past few years," Keane told Sky Sports.

"They're attacking players are brilliant. We've said they've lost their spark but I think they will get that back.

"We've seen every team have their ups and downs this season. I think they have enough quality and enough energy.

"I look at Klopp... and I'm sticking with them. I think it will be 80-something (points to win the league).

"That definitely brings others into it. I think you have to look at Leicester. I look at where they are in the table and I'm not surprised, because of the coach they've got there, and the players they've got.

"So Leicester will be delighted with the way they are going along. Absolutely brilliant.

"But I wouldn't be including Everton. Forget Everton in terms of winning the title. No. They've done great. I'm surprised they are up there where they are but I don't think they'll last the pace.

"There are still too many doubts about Spurs - but the teams we've all mentioned, I can't really see beyond them.

"Spurs, on their day, when they're at it, they are going to be top four, top five.

"But I don't think there's enough there to win the league. They're not going to be as strong as City, Leicester, United or Liverpool."
