Roy Keane makes Manchester United transfer prediction after win vs Leicester

Roy Keane has explained the importance of Manchester United securing a top-four finish ahead of the summer transfer window.

The window opens on Monday and United now know they will be able to promise prospective targets Champions League football next term after beating Leicester at the King Power on Sunday.

Former United captain Keane has made that clear as, despite stating that United always maintain a strong pulling power, he admitted it would have been a challenge.

Keane also predicted that United will financially support Solskjaer in the transfer market. The Norwegian has a good track record at United when it comes to transfers, with Daniel James, Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo all having positive impacts after arriving over the last 12 months.

“You’d like to think United is a big draw for players. But, if United hadn’t have gotten Champions League, it would’ve been very difficult," Keane told Sky Sports.

" All of the top players need to be in the Champions League, that gives Ole better options when he goes to speak to these players. He needs to get backing. I’m pretty sure he’ll get that backing.”

Manchester United's top target for the summer window is Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, while Jack Grealish is also on their radar.
