Roy Keane makes Manchester United transfer claim about Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United great Roy Keane has suggested that Bruno Fernandes ' impact at the club could allow Paul Pogba to leave.

Pogba has been linked with a departure from United amid interest from Real Madrid.

The 26-year-old has been out of action since December when he re-aggravated an ankle injury in his first match back due to the problem.

But United were on a good run of seven games without a loss in all competitions ahead of facing Everton and that prompted some discussion about Pogba's role at the club on Sky Sports.

Pundits Graeme Souness and Keane discussed Pogba, who could return from injury this month.

Souness' criticism was more of the bizarre kind but Keane instead went down the route of suggesting that January signing Fernandes' impact on Pogba could be substantial.

"Nobody has really been mentioning Paul Pogba because he (Fernandes) has settled into the club so well," Keane told Sky Sports.

"Maybe that will give United a chance to move Pogba on a bit quicker.

"Fernandes coming in has been big. They are building a bit of momentum."

Asked if he could see Pogba and Fernandes playing together in the same team, Keane added: "It depends on Pogba's attitude."

Everton took the lead at Goodison Park thanks to Dominic Calvert-Lewin's goal after David de Gea's mistake but it was Fernandes who levelled for United with a fantastic effort from outside the box.
