Roy Keane makes Man City and Pep Guardiola Premier League title claim

Roy Keane has issued a Premier League title related claim about Manchester City after their 2-1 win over Chelsea.

The Blues managed to get back on track by coming from behind to beat Frank Lampard's side thanks to goals from Kevin de Bruyne and Riyad Mahrez.

But due to Liverpool's 2-1 victory at Crystal Palace, Jurgen Klopp's side still hold a nine-point lead over the reigning champions.

City moved up to third on the back of the victory against Chelsea and whilst Pep Guardiola 's team are a little way behind in the title race, former Manchester United star Keane had some strong words of praise for the Spaniard and his side.

"We saw the qualities of Man City today. Chelsea were punished for their mistakes and that's what the really good teams do," Keane told Sky Sports.

"We spoke about City's problems at the back ahead of the game but they have responded like champions. They deserved to win the game."

On Guardiola, Keane added: "What I love when I listen to people like Pep Guardiola who have had a lot of success in their career, they know better than anyone how hard it is to win things.

"It's not the end of the world this season if City don't win it (the Premier League) because they appreciate how difficult it is but they are not going to be giving up and they will be fighting right until the end."
