Manchester United legend Roy Keane believes Harry Kane will have plenty of suitors if he asks to leave Tottenham Hotspur.
Reports in the media this week have suggested the England captain will ask to leave Spurs in the summer window should the club miss out on Champions League football.
Kane has been linked with both Manchester United and Man City, though MEN Sport understands that Erling Haaland is the top striker priority for both clubs.
Despite Kane having three years left on his current Tottenham deal, at the age of 28, Keane believes Kane would have plenty of possible destinations if he asks to leave this summer.
Speaking on Sky Sports , Keane said: “It’s only natural for us to speculate about Kane if they don’t get in the Champions League.
“Obviously he must be getting frustrated. Obviously, he’s a huge player for Spurs, a brilliant professional, a fantastic player.
“And if they don’t get in the Champions League, and not competing at the top of the league, then it’s only natural for Harry Kane from a selfish point of view to look at his options.
“And he’s got some great options out there because he’s a world-class striker, and there’s not many out there.”
Kane has regularly said that he wants to keep improving though suggested during the international break that he would not think about the future until the end of the season.
“I think that’s a hard question to answer right now," he told reporters when asked if he had to leave Tottenham in order to become successful.
“It’s important that all my focus is on the two England games coming up now and the rest of the season with Spurs and then the Euros.
“To be thinking about speculation or rumours would be damaging in terms of my own performance.
“I always like to be focused on one goal and one job and that’s to finish strong with Spurs, win these qualifiers with England and hopefully go on and have a great Euros.
“Look, I try to stay out of that speculation as much as possible. I’m fully focused on doing the job on the pitch from now until the end of the summer and then we’ll see where we go from there.”
