Roy Keane makes dream come true for Cork schoolboy

When Noah, a fifth class student at Dunderrow primary school near Kinsale, wrote a letter earlier this term to his hero Roy Keane he probably hoped someday in the future he would meet with him.

The letter was answered by the former Man Utd and Ireland captain, and then yesterday Roy dropped by Noah's school in an awesome surprise Christmas visit, reports Cork Beo.

"The children and staff were in awe and listened carefully to what Roy had to say about his career. An inspiration to all young people saying you can achieve anything with hard work," the staff at Dunderrow National School wrote on the school's website.

For the past month Roy has made repeated trips to his native city.

In November he dropped by Penny Dinners to lend his support to the great work the volunteers there are doing to help the less well off.

And earlier this month Roy dropped by Three Degrees Hair salon in Blackpool after they just opened back up following an arson attack earlier in the year.

So, you better watch out Roy is about and he's brining much needed festive cheer and words of encouragement.

As the song lyric goes that was "pure Roy Keane".
