Roy Keane makes damning Arsenal Premier League prediction despite Aston Villa win

Roy Keane has cast serious doubts over Arsenal's ability to finish in the top four this season.

The Gunners ran out 3-2 winners over Aston Villa on the weekend, but made the task of picking up three points much harder than it needed to be.

Arsenal's north London rivals Tottenham have been equally unconvincing so far this season, and despite Manchester United's defeat by West Ham on Sunday, Keane reckons his former team are in a good position to qualify for the Champions League.

"A couple of weeks ago I'd have said I wasn't sure about the top four for United but having looked at Tottenham and Arsenal over the last few weeks, I think United should be expecting to finish fourth," said Keane on Sky Sports.

"It's there for the taking. It's there for a lot of teams and United, with the players that they have, should be capable of doing it."

Aston Villa broke the deadlock against the Gunners at the Emirates on Sunday when John McGinn found the target on the 20 minute mark.

Arsenal were reduced to 10 men before half time when Ainsley Maitland-Niles was given his marching orders, but hit back through Nicolas Pepe from the penalty spot.

The elation didn't last long though as 60 seconds later Wesley restored the newly-promoted side's lead.

With time rapidly running out Calum Chambers levelled for Arsenal for a second time before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored with a stunning free kick five minutes before the end.
