Roy Keane makes claim about Jose Mourinho and Manchester United

Roy Keane has claimed Jose Mourinho will be relishing returning to Manchester United with his Tottenham side at the beginning of December.

Mourinho replaced Mauricio Pochettino as Spurs boss last week and steered them to a 3-2 victory over West Ham in his first game as manager on Saturday.

Tottenham have games against Olympiacos and Bournemouth coming up in the next seven days before Mourinho brings his new club to Old Trafford on December 4.

Mourinho was sacked by United on December 18 last year, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer installed as his interim replacement 24 hours later.

And Keane believes Spurs' game at Old Trafford is a game Mourinho will be looking forward to.

“Mourinho will love playing Chelsea [on December 22] and will love going back to Old Trafford in a couple of weeks," Keane said on Sky Sports.

“His ego will be really big. He’ll be strong with his ego because that’s what he’ll be looking forward to.

“That’s what he’s in the game for, he’s a big character, his CV is amazing.

“We have to respect that, it’s good to see him back and hopefully there’s some fireworks on the touchline.

“We’ve seen it today [against West Ham], he was dead nice to everybody. I hope he’s not too nice, we need to see that nasty side.

“I’m sure we will when he starts dropping points.”
