Roy Keane makes bold Crystal Palace claim about former player prior to Spurs vs Manchester United

Former Manchester United midfielder Roy Keane has suggested that Crystal Palace wouldn't want Aaron Wan-Bissaka back if they were offered him back tomorrow.

The 23-year-old defender was sold to the Red Devils by Palace for an initial £45million fee in 2019, having come through the Academy ranks in south London and made 46 first-team appearances before his eventual departure.

Wan-Bissaka has gone on to play more than 100 games for United but has recently come under scrutiny for his performances, with United having already conceded 15 goals in the Premier League this season - almost as many as Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City combined (17).

That prompted Keane to say that he thought the defender was out of his depth at United prior to their game against Spurs on Saturday, which his old side went on to win comfortably 3-0.

"What Manchester United have always had over the year is players with character, I don't see it with this group," said Keane, who won seven Premier League titles under Sir Alex Ferguson at United between 1993 and 2006.

"Wan-Bissaka - I don't even think Palace would take him back. He's not good enough for Manchester United. No feel for the ball [or] decision making."

Palace have so far this season looked comfortable at right-back with Joel Ward recently putting in his best performance of the campaign so far against Man City on Saturday.

Patrick Vieira also has 21-year-old Nathan Ferguson on the sidelines recovering from an Achilles injury.
