Jamie Carragher achieved the impossible on Monday night by making Roy Keane laugh in the Sky Sports studio ahead of Manchester United's clash with Arsenal.
The Liverpool legend was talking about the Reds team he played in back in the day when the Gunners and United were the best two teams in England and challenging for the title.
"We were probably the team alongside maybe Leeds or Newcastle in those days," explained Carragher on Sky Sports. "We were in the Champions League but weren't contesting the titles really, as Roy reminded me last week!"
The comment got an immediate response from Manchester United legend Keane, who burst out laughing in the studio.
The remark Carragher was referring to was one made by Keane following United's 2-0 defeat by West Ham in the Premier League.
Carragher had been talking about Manchester United needing a couple more signings to turn their fortunes around, and used Liverpool bringing in Luiz Suarez as an example of how a good player can make the difference.
"I was in this position at Liverpool where you are trying to catch teams," Carragher said.
"Sometimes you just need that two or three players who can transform them. I think of Luis Suarez coming to Liverpool.
"For three or four years we were finishing sixth and seventh, where United are and then almost won the title.
"Sometimes that one player can make all the difference."
But Keane hit back at Carragher's comments, suggesting settling for a runners-up medal would never be enough for the Red Devils.
"Jamie, you said almost winning the title. You didn't win a title. You are talking about Manchester United here," said Keane.
Red Devils fans understandably loved Keane's comment, which left Carragher lost for words.
